It is important and vital for a client to feel comfortable with their chosen Counsellor: to be sure that you do feel this way with me I offer a free, brief initial discovery call - no longer than 10 minutes - which enables us to chat, and gives you the opportunity to raise any questions about counselling that you may have before making a decision to proceed.
Individual sessions - which includes in person, video and phone sessions - last for 50 minutes. The number of sessions you require will depend on many factors, and you can book as many (or as few) as you are comfortable with; I will assess with you throughout our relationship how you feel the sessions are going and that you want to continue, and will endeavour to maintain consistency in our bookings so that you have structure to your support.
I provide face to face counselling or video calls via WhatsApp.
Prices listed are per therapeutic hour *, unless otherwise stated:
Individual Counselling for general mental health issues or trauma: From £55.00 per 50 minute session
For Psychosexual Therapy, for those facing complex issues related to sexual identity or behaviours, and for those accused of, or under investigation for, sexual offending: From £90 per 50 minute session
Supervision, for those working towards or already qualified in professional Counselling: From £60 per one hour session
Employee Assistance Services (EAP) and Corporate work packages are also available, please call to discuss contract and prices.
My working hours are from 6.00am to 3.00pm Tuesday and Thursday in person at the Brighten Wellbeing Centre in Stoford: the full address for finding the centre is - Brighten Wellbeing, Newton Road, BA22 9UW
Video or telephone appointments are available via WhatsApp, Wednesdays 6am to 6pm.
Outside of these hours I may be able to work with you, depending on the circumstances. Please contact me to discuss what you need.
If I am unable to offer you a counselling space I can refer you on to one of my trusted colleagues.
* Therapeutic Hours: Though you pay 'per hour' your time in a Counselling session is usually 50 minutes - this is standard across the majority of services, as it gives time between appointments to make any important notes and securely store your personal information before any other clients enter the therapeutic space.
